Religious Leaders Forum (RLF)
Uganda is constitutionally a secular state and does not have a national religion. The constitution also allows all eligible Ugandans, regardless of their religious status, to participate in politics and stand for political office. Amidst this, discrimination, religious-based campaigns and growing sectarianism in Kabale are common. There is need to promote unity and interfaith dialogue among citizens of Kabale Municipality. As a first step of promoting unity, KMDF will establish Kabale Municipality Religious Leaders Forum and work with the forum for the unity and development of all the people in the Municipality regardless of religious affiliations.
